New class offering


It's still cold, so thinking of salsa dancing makes me feel warm. Until I go off to my son's hockey game tonight, that is!

I'm really looking forward to teaching this new class. There are still spaces left, so contact me if you want to take the class. Comments are always welcome too!

Dawn and Sancho have been dancing together for 4 years. Dawn hosts the morning show on NBC and Sancho is a professional dancer, originally from Mexico. They are both very excited to be on Dancing with the Stars and to be able to compete together.

The goal is to create a pair of dolls from one pattern, exploring male and female characteristics. Oh, and dancing!

TECHNIQUES BEING TAUGHT IN THIS CLASS

  • Working with Apoxie Sculpt to create shoes;
  • making an armature;
  • exploring male and female facial features,
  • costuming with ribbon and silk; hat making;
  • unique hair treatments;
  • exploring gesture and pose in a figure;
  • creating a pose-able head.

Class Dates: March 4 and 5th 10 – 4 pm
Location: 1276 Wellington Street, Ottawa, Ontario
Class Fee: $100
Kit fee: Included in class fee, includes pattern, apoxie and doll fabric. Students will be given a list of trims for costuming.
Skill Level: All Levels
