Welcome to my blog!

It's about time I started a blog for my art work. Here is where I will share what I am doing creatively and you can tell me what you think.

Mostly, it will be about my figurative art, or art dolls, if you prefer that term. Those of us who make them, call them dolls. They are not to be played with, so are they still dolls? I'm not sure.

I create my figures in cloth and also needle felt figures. You'll see more as we go. I also make vessels and wall hangings, I love to take photographs and draw. This is Alexander. He was created using needle felting. Our doll club had a story book challenge and this character is from the book "Alexander's terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day."

I have a web site, also http://www.edwinadolls.com/ Please visit me there, too.

  1. Hello Edwina
I have seen your dolls before on your website and love the work that you do!
I love the imagination that goes into creating each doll and the imaginary story/history that you give to each doll is great too! Keep up the good work!

  3. Hello Edwina,
First time I have met you or seen your interesting work. Love the wordless wednesdays and the photos of the pillar boxes and g mail
mail boxes. Such wonderful colour with the green of England.
Your felting is fun. Such interesting characters you pick out.
Would love to take your free class you are offering Jan. 2011. I love period costuming and on dolls it will be such a challenge.
    You are an inspiration.
